HATS WORTH
Chatsworth House contains a vast collection of objects d'art of every description. The garden is justly famous for its landscaping and waterworks. From June to August a band plays every Sunday afternoon. At 3.30 every day there is a live milking demonstration with an expert commentary by the milker. The Stables Tea Bar provides excellent home made food and refreshments. Gift and Garden shops. Chatsworth is open every day from 3 1 s t March to 27t h October 1985, 11.30am-4.30pm. Coach parking, free.

LILFORD PARK
This 240-acre country park is an ideal place for a family outing. At the Children's farm there is a variety of animals including shaggy Highland cattle, small Dexter catlle, fallow deer and wallabies, Shetland ponies, and other domestic pets. The adventure playground and its tree houses is a must for the children. The log cabin cafeteria will seat 70 people and serves grills, snacks and teas. In addition, visitors may picnic in the grounds.
Open: Daily from Easter to end October 10am-6pm. In view of the large number of birds and animals, regret no dogs.

PHOENIX PARK
Join the birds and animals for a great family day out. An ever-changing stock of over 3,000 birds of different species, Parrots, Cockatoos, Toucans. There are many animals. Monkeys and Marmosets from the old and the new world, Indian Leopard Cats, Miniature Horses, Gazelles and many more.
Most of the birds and animals are available for sale or exchange. Phoenix Park will also consider giving a good home to any unwanted or injured pets or animals.
Open: Every day of the year, except Christmas Day, from 10am till dusk.
Car and coach parking free.

SPRINGFIELDS
During the spring the 25-acre gardens provide a spectacle of colour with tulips, daffodils, hyacinths and other bulbous flowers. The Summer display provides a fine collection of 12,000 rose bushes including many newly-bred varieties.Free gardening catalogues are available to all visitors. Advice is freely given and all plants are clearly labeled.
There is a restaurant and cafeteria/teashop. A garden centre and shop, maze, free children's games and lake stocked with large carp all add to the enjoyment of a visit.

NEWSTEAD ABBEY
Newstead was the former home of the poet Byron in the early 19t h century, but the history of the building goes back 800 years. The house contains possessions of the poet, manuscripts, letters and first editions, pictures and furniture. The house is set in beautiful parkland of over 300 acres; lakes and waterfalls, a Japanese watergarden, Rock and Rose gardens.

THE CHATEAU
The Chateau stands in the middle of a circular park with four paths running in line with the four
geographical directions.
During the tour you can admire rare collections which are nowhere else to be seen. These include a
valuable collection of Meissen porcelain, an exhibit of ceremonial and travel coaches owned by bishops
and archibishops from the 18t h to 20t h centuries and an exhibit of historical children's prams.
